This site is designed to be utilised by students and teachers wishing to learn more about the history of the Blue Mile in Wollongong. It contains historical information (including primary and secondary sources) on significant areas of the Blue Mile. Information is organised under the four categories: Defence, Government, Industry and Social as these categories cover the historical buildings and artefacts of The Blue Mile. These are the aspects which best cover/summarise the information available on this area, however, this website is subject to growth as more areas can be added...

The teachers' section contains information for an excursion along the Blue Mile , including pre and post excursion ideas and assessment strategies. These lessons will allow students to explore the Blue Mile Website and use the information discovered to create a variety of responses. Additional lesson ideas are also provided for teachers to use at any point in time. The teacher section contains detailed information and documentation relating to these aspects.
